I'm using a bulky yarn on size 13 needles, 9 sts & 12 rows = 4" instead of 11 sts & 14 rows = 4". If anybody out there wants to use a bulky yarn, here are the pattern changes for the size small:

Back: Cast on 36 stitches. Work 4 rows in reverse stockinette stitch. Increase 1 stitch each side now, and increase 1 stitch each side again when the back reaches 5" in length. (You will now have 40 stitches.)

When the back is 8" long, shape the armholes by binding off 2 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows. (Now you're back to 36 stitches.) P 1, p2 tog, p to last 3 sts, p2 tog tbl, p1. Work this decrease row a total of 10 times. (Now you have 16 sts.) Work 3 rows in reverse stockinette stitch, then work one more decrease row as above. (Now you have 14 sts.) Knit 1 row, place stitches on a holder and break yarn.

Right Front: Cast on 6 stitches. Follow the regular instructions through row 24. (You will have 19 sts.) On row 25, shape armholes: bind off 3 sts, k to end. (Now you have 16 sts.)

Next row: p to last 3 sts, p2tog tbl, p1. K 1 row. Repeat these 2 rows 10 more times. (Now you have 5 sts.) Work 2 rows in reverse stockinette stitch. Next row: P1, p3 tog, p1. (Now you have 3 sts.) K 1 row. Place all stitches on a st holder and break yarm.

Left Front: Same as right front, reversing all shaping.

Sleeves: Stay tuned! I'm starting the sleeves this afternoon.

Comments:
Kate!!! Girl, you have done some work!

I wish I would have thought of having the knit side out.

I couldn't get a good photo of the purl side to post, but in this bigger gauge, it was mega fluffy. It looked like sky blue cotton candy. ;<)

I looks great! I love that color, way to go!
